June 2007

With the end of the 2006-07 season we now look forward to the 2007-8 season.  Details of our interesting and varied programme can be found by clicking here.  Our President, Bob Cornes, has the following message for everyone.

I write this foreword confident that we are about to embark on another successful year with a varied and interesting programme of meetings and events.  There is something for everyone from the beginner to the seasoned competitor.

For over 50 years Sileby Photographic Society has been a venue for anyone with an interest in photography to meet like-minded people to pursue and develop their skills and generally enjoy the hobby.  The great strength of SPS is the friendly atmosphere where everyone is made welcome and new members are very quickly integrated.

We are always happy to see visitors or potential new members so if you are not a member but have been given this programme why not pay us a visit?  You will be made most welcome and if, after a visit or two, you enjoy the experience you may decide to join us.

Sileby Photographic Society Wins Lottery Bid

We have been awarded a little over £4100 by the Big Lottery Fund to purchase digital AV equipment for the club.  We are buying state-of-the-art projection and sound equipment; there will be a chance to see it in action at our normal meetings, at a special show of interest to local residents (details to be announced soon) and at our Annual Exhibition.  The equipment has been supplied by a very helpful company, Just AV of Maidenhead.
