Another Year of Photography Starts for Sileby

Details of our interesting and varied programme can be found by clicking here. Our President, Colin Machin, has the following message for everyone.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to another year of photography at Sileby.  I am sure that you will find the programme to be varied enough to cater for all tastes.

For ten of our meetings, we welcome speakers who will be coming along to entertain us with their travels or their specialist subjects.  They will all, I am sure, be telling us lots about what they do and how they do it.  On seven nights, we will be having talks from our own members, covering topics including nature and travel.

Competition evenings make up the remainder of the formal programme and these are always an inspiration, where we all learn something new about our craft.  We are experimenting with themed competitions, and this year it’s for monochrome portraits; I’m sure that you’ll let us know what you think.

Visitors are most welcome to join us for any of the meetings; you might even find that you like us enough to join us.

We had rather a successful time last year, with a number of members having work selected for local and regional Exhibitions and some even winning awards.  Let’s hope that we can emulate that success this year and maybe even improve upon it.

Colin Machin
President
