Sileby Photographic Society

Programme

Our season runs from September to June. During the summer break we take part in walks around the area, with a view to having a good time and maybe even taking some pictures. Whether or not we take any pictures, the evening invariably ends in a local hostelry. Please do contact us if you would like details of the walks. Find below details of all meetings and events for the season. A PDF version of our complete programme, which opens in a separate window, is available here. You will need Acrobat Reader in order to view the document. Click the icon below to download Acrobat Reader.  If you decide to print it and your printer has a "booklet" setting, then this PDF version is ideal, having been typset for booklet printing.  If changes to the programme become necessary, they will be notified below but not changed in the PDF version.

For the 2021-22 season, we have decided to republish the PDF version.  The most recent edit was made on 31 October 2021.

Our Press Officer writes an excellent report on each meeting for publication in the Loughborough Echo.  You can find links that will allow you to view recent reports here.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

January 2022

Due to the situation with the new Omicron variant of Covid, we will be holding the first meeting in January, the Annual Competition Critique, on Zoom.  Further, the Annual Dinner, due to take place on 17 January has been cancelled.  Members of the Committee will use that evening to meet to discuss our strategy for the forthcoming weeks.

Face-to-face meetings

When we are able to return to face-to-face meetings, they will continue to be held in our new temporary home, St Mary's Centre on Mountsorrel Lane.  You can find it about 50 yards down Mountsorrel Lane from its junction with Barrow Road.  The entrance is opposite the church; it's in what looks like an old Chapel or School building.

You should assume that you will not be able to park outside or anywhere near, so it is recommended that you make your way to the public car park behind Tesco.  The entrance is on King Street, on the right just before the railway bridge.

We are trying to make the meetings as safe as possible, so the Committee has devised some recommendations for those attending.  You can find these in the News section and in the Member's Area.

Please note the new start time of 7.30 for 7.45pm for meetnings at St Mary's Centre.
